The Spitfire
When playing as a pilot, movement is everything, you have low health and can die easily. So keep moving right? Well, most people would think that, but… there’s a sizeable group of players who don’t quite understand that. The Spitfire is an LMG that has a large clip of ammo, deals way too much damage, and has perfect accuracy if you stand still. This is the only gun in this game that I actually hate, some guns I dislike because it’s a bit too slow or takes too much skill to use (skill that I don’t have), but the spitfire is the most brain-dead thing in this game. A gun that incentives you to stand still, in a movement shooter, stand still and movement shooter are words that do not go together in a sentence. It’s even worse when going against a spitfire user camping (a player who stays in one spot) who is using Cloak or A-wall. You cannot see a Cloak who is staying perfectly still and most spitfire campers will go in a corner so you can’t even get behind them if they are using A-wall. It’s so sad because if this weapon didn’t exist Titanfall 2 would be a perfect game.
The Devotion
The other LMG, the Devotion, is very fun to use although it is a little underpowered. The longer you fire the devotion the faster it fires. So at first, it fires slowly, but after shooting for 5 seconds or so it’ll be completely spraying bullets. So the idea is you spot an enemy, run towards them while holding the fire button, and then boom they are dead, you throw party have a drink or 5, text your EX because you are drunk, everything works out fine, right? Not quite, due to its rather small clip size of only 55 bullets meaning you need to reload after firing for short while.
My unending rage
You wanna know what gun has a larger, larger clip size that would be more suited for the devotion. The goddamn spitfire, the clip is 80 bullets. that is 68.75% larger than the devotion’s clip. Which gun should have a bigger clip? a pinpoint accurate gun that can kill pilots in a few shots and requires no skill and actually discourages using the moment mechanics. Or an inaccurate gun that encourages you to charge in firing and hoping you hit some shots but is still fun as heck to use. In my opinion, the devotion should have a much larger clip along with a damage buff (an increase in power) and the spitfire should be removed from all of existence along with its users, or just nerfed (a decrease in power) I guess.
