back in 2016 Legion was the 3rd most popular titan (although I can’t find anything about his popularity now) and he is my highest level titan along with my most used. it is beyond fun to mow down enemies with this big gunned behemoth, but he is definitely the slowest titan in the game but that doesn’t mean you can’t get aggressive while using him.
what to watch out for
when playing as Legion, you may notice that you will either dominate a titan or dominate you there isn’t really an in-between other than with other Legions. What should you do against other titans? first I would recommend reloading the second you get out of combat, the mini-gun you use takes ages to reload and is your only source of damage. Second, remember to switch fire modes, when in the long-range mode you have perfect aim, and if you are good enough you can out damage a Northstar who is sniping you. Third know when to spin up your gun, you can only fire if you are spun up which you can do by holding fire, holding aim, or using your barrel shield, if you hear an enemy titan approaching spin up before they even get to you so you can start dealing damage to them immediately. Fourth power shot pesky pilots, your power shots will one-shot pilots so use your close-range power shot to delete them off of your screen.
how to deal with specific titans
- Ion – keep spun up and keep aiming at them but don’t fire at their vortex shield, wait for them to put the shied down then tap fire
- Scorch – when you see a scorch charging at you start backing up but keep firing, once they get to you and put their flame shield up dash away from them
- Northstar – go into long rang mode on your gun and move unpractically while fighting, they will likely run away but don’t chase after them unless you are already close to them because they will theater trap you and get free damage
- Ronin – keep your distance as best you can and practice your aim to wipe Ronins out, also wait to but your barrel shield up until they use their arc wave so you can still be protected from them
- Tone – don’t fight them while they have their particle wall up, go around it or through it then you can shred them
- Legion – shoot em, that’s it
- Monarch – Shoot em and if you are doomed make sure they don’t execute you because they will get a large boost
