Ok, you’d be lying if you say, “I’ve never heard of Minecraft<\/a> before.” That’s like saying you’ve never heard of Jesus<\/a>! Minecraft has without a doubt made a huge impact on the world. It brought people together and even taught many lessons such as it takes time and effort to get to where you want to be in life and that bad guys are hiding in every unchecked corner. However, one part of the game has left the biggest impact on me, and that’s the sounds of Minecraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the sound of Minecraft soothes you…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first time I played Minecraft was such a treat. I loaded up my own survival world and just started playing. I vividly remember playing for five hours straight and enjoying every minute of it. But when I first heard the music, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. At this point in my life, most video games I played had upbeat action music through most of the soundtrack. Minecraft was completely different in that regard, being much quieter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, as time went on I slowly started to like the music more and more. For example, the main theme of Minecraft (or what most people consider to be), Sweden<\/a>, was the first I really started to like. The soft piano and strings created an atmosphere so calm, so peaceful, so enticing. Every time I heard it, I felt at ease, but also ready for some journey. To this day, Sweden is one of my favorite tracks in any video game to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Iconic memory…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I could go on and on about the soundtrack of Minecraft, but I won’t today. Maybe I need to make a video essay soon, cause I have at least 12 pages worth of stuff I want to talk about, but I need to wrap things up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sound of Minecraft is quite a unique one. Not many game soundtracks have been able to capture the essence of adventure while sounding so peaceful at the same time. The game as a whole is such a masterpiece, but the music adds so much more to it. I will be listening to Minecraft music for years to come, remembering the little moments like building my first house, taming my first dog, and beating the Ender Dragon for the first time.
