Starting out
So you wanna know more about me… Well, about five years ago, I downloaded FL Studio and made my first song. The mix wasn’t that good, but the melody was just catchy enough to nod my head to the beat. Afterward, I went on a production high and busted out another six songs, then proceeded to take a break from music for a while. I later looked back at all of these songs and started calling them “CJ’s Seven Deadly Songs”, as they all were completely terrible. Thank goodness that I never released them on streaming services.
Getting better
After that first break, I came back to try out something new: video game music. I made a few tracks for a group of friends making their own video game, and it was pretty fun! Later when I finished up those tracks, I made a couple more to practice my mixing, and they actually turned out pretty good! One was a remix of Megalovania, and the other I made a pokemon-battle-styled remix of the theme from Star Trek: The Next Generation. After all of that, I took another break. Music production can really tucker your brain out, you know?
Current heading
This last school year really beat me up, so I’ve been focusing on making sure that I’ve got all my assignments turned in. Once I’m out for summer, I’m going on an extended vacation to make up for last year (well, because of COVID and all). When I’m back from that, I’m planning on working on some more remixes, original songs, and maybe even start up a YouTube channel finally! Only time will tell with that! And that’s all about me!
